These Stores Will Hand Out Free Stuff To People In Line On Black Friday

Retailers Open On Thanksgiving Evening, Starting Black Friday Sales Early

Black Friday is just a few days away. While you may not be looking forward to the busy stores and long lines, the amazing deals can definitely be worth the stress. Some stores are giving us even more incentive to hit up their Black Friday sales by giving away free stuff to the shoppers who get up early and wait in line. Thanks to Offers.com, we've got all the details on these freebies. Here's everything you need to know:

Bed Bath & Beyond: Between 5 p.m. and midnight on Thanksgiving — and from 6 a.m. and noon on Black Friday — everyone who shops in-store will receive a coupon for 25% off their entire purchase (valid all-day Black Friday). This is slightly higher than the 20%-off coupon offered in previous years. But that’s not the only change this year; unlike in previous years, Bed Bath & Beyond will open its doors on Thanksgiving.

Belk: On Thursday (starting at 4 p.m.) and on Friday (starting at 6 a.m.), there will be a card giveaway. Those in line at these times will receive a gift card worth between $5 and $500, with one $500 winner in every store.

Fleet Farm: Free plush toy to first 500 customers in line on Friday morning (doors open at 5 a.m.)

Fred Meyer: Shoppers who show up at opening time at 5 p.m. on Black Friday get free coffee, juice and donuts. The first 100 customers get a free gift card.

Gordmans: Stores open 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving and 6 a.m. on Friday, and the first 75 guests in line get a free holiday tote bag as well as a mystery scratch-off worth a $5 shopping card or $100 gift card.

Half Price Books: In keeping with HPB tradition, the first 100 customers through the door on Black Friday will receive a tote bag and a $5 gift card. One tote bag will have a $100 gift card.

JCPenney: JCPenney is continuing its tradition of handing a coupon to customers who are lined up when doors open. Coupon giveaways will take place on Thanksgiving when JCPenney opens at 2 p.m. You could receive a $10 coupon, a $100 coupon or a $500 coupon. Coupons are valid Nov. 28 to 30.

Lowe’s: The first 300 in stores when the open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday get a coupon worth $10 off a $50 purchase. Plus, you have a chance at winning a $500 gift card (one winner per store, no purchase necessary).

New York & Company: Get a free stuffed bear when you make a $75 purchase, starting from store opening through Black Friday. One per customer. Supplies limited.

Shoe CarnivalThe first 100 people in line at 6 a.m. on Black Friday will receive a free scratch off worth up to $100, or a free pair of Puma shoes.

Stage Stores (includes Beall’s, Palais Royal, Goody’s and Peebles): At 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving the first 75 guests in line will get a mystery scratch-off that could be worth a $10 coupon, a $100 gift card or a $250 gift card. On Friday at 6 a.m. the first 50 people in line will get scratch-offs. Note that this is the last Black Friday ever for Stage department stores. By this time next year, they’ll all be closed or converted to Gordmans.

Walmart: Stores open at 6 p.m. but those in line at 4 p.m. get free coffee, hot cocoa and snacks.

Happy shopping!
