McDonald's is finally releasing a vegan burger - almost immediately after Burger King introduced their "Impossible Whopper."
The meatless patty has already been launched in Germany, so it's only a matter of time before it hits the United States.
Delish says that CNN reported that Nestle developed the plant-based product used for the burger. It's made with soy and wheat protein and has ingredients like beets, carrots and bell peppers that mimic meat-like texture and aesthetic.
A petition got released that had over 200,000 signatures on it from fans begging McDonald's to introduce a vegan option - so it doesn't seem that far off.
