Possible Snow Hazard Friday Morning

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued from 6am through 3pm Friday.

The National Weather Service has issued a notice about a possible snow event Friday morning that could cause slick roads during the morning commute.

The chances are less than 30% south of DC to upwards of 70% in and north of Baltimore. Due to the extremely cold temperatures across the area, any precipitation that falls will be frozen and will stick to road surfaces.

It is possible for the snow to accumulate up to an inch around the Washington, DC Metro and Baltimore Metro areas with 1-2 inches possible north of Baltimore.

According to the NWS, if you're commuting Friday morning, be aware of the POSSIBILITY of significant travel disruptions. Plan ahead by allowing for extra travel time and consider using public transportation.
