Veterans Day is Saturday, Nov. 11, and there's no way to completely thank our military members for their service.
That being said, would a free meal, a new haircut or some cool discounts be a good start? Check out some of the places around the DMV who are offering discounts for our military:
Veterans and active-duty military members can get a free meal from a limited menu on Veterans Day, with proof of military service. Since 2008, Applebee's says they have served 8.3 million meals to veterans.
Vets and military members can each get a free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries at Buffalo Wild Wings. Proof of military service is required.
On Nov. 11, Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free doughnut at Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide, no purchase necessary.
All active duty and retired Veterans are invited to come in and enjoy Free Red, White, & Blue Pancakes at IHOP.
Olive Garden restaurants will offer a free entrée from a special menu to active-duty military and military veterans on Nov. 11.
