Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced on Tuesday, April 25 that he will retire from NASCAR at the end of the 2017 season following the Monster Energy Cup Series on his own terms.
Since beginning his racing career in 1996, Dale has been voted "most popular driver" by the fans 14 times! In addition to his impressive resume, he won the Daytona 500 in both 2004 & 2014 and clocked 26 wins on the racetrack.
Dale joins fellow NASCAR superstars Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart as recent retirees.
