WMATA's board just unanimously voted to raise fares across the Metrorail and Metrobus system, cut service and unprofitable bus lines.
How this effects you:
- Metrorail fares increase 10-cents during peak and 25-cents during off-peak
- Metrobus fares increase from $1.75 to $2.00
- During peak hours, Metrorail trains will run every 8 minutes (it's 6 now)
