Tyler and BK of Florida Georgia Line are giving back to those who have given to us!
Back in November, it was announced that FGL would team up with The Independence Fund to provide wounded veterans with all-terrain wheelchairs at stops on their current "Dig Your Roots" tour. When asked about their participation with The Independence Fund, the guys exclaimed that they "we were immediately blown away by the work they do and support they bring to our nation’s veterans."
The most recent recipient of one of these chairs was retired Army Staff Sgt. Shane Savage, who got to meet the guys backstage at their show in Newark, NJ to thank them personally. Staff Sgt. Savage said "It was an incredible opportunity to be able to take part in this event and to be able to get the info out on national tv. My family and I are so blessed to be apart of such a wonderful organization."
The first veteran to receive an all-terrain chair from FGL was retired Army Staff Sgt. Seth Kotouc in Oklahoma City.
The Independence Fund is especially close to BK and Tyler because they both have loved ones who have served in the military. They said that the cause really resonates with them and that "it's amazing to be able to give away those wheels" to help mobilize these injured vets.
