Winter Storm Watch Issued Ahead of Possible Storm

It could be the area's first big snow fall of the season, after a wild winter of above-average temperatures and unseasonable lack of precipitation on Monday night into Tuesday.

Ahead of the forecasts, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of the area from 6pm Monday through 1pm Tuesday. According to the NWS, we have the potential to see 5 or more inches of snow from this system.

It will be a heavy, wet snow expected to affect travel and power. We may see widespread outages from this storm. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
