POLICE + LAW ENFORCEMENT: Do rural US Cities need MILITARY VEHICLES to fight crime?

Those MEAN STREETS just got a bit safer...

In WINCHESTER. Rural WINCHESTER, VIRGINIA, a town of less than 30,000, measuring NINE square miles, located about 90 miles due WEST from Washington, DC, just got some crime fighting reinforcements from the UNITED STATES MILITARY...

... a MINE-RESISTANT vehicle from the Military Surplus program, getting rid of vehicles and such produced for our wars of terror in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Because there are mines all over the Shenandoah mountains. And you just never know what terrorisms are afoot in those mountains.

Should cities like WINCHESTER and the like be getting military vehicles like this???
