With another squad of cheerleaders bringing suit against an NFL team, league officials and others are wondering aloud now if having cheerleaders is even worth it anymore.
In each of the lawsuits, there are several things which are consistent:
*Cheerleaders often get little to no pay.
*Cheerleaders are held to intense physical standards and are subjected to humiliating tests to confirm they meet these standards, aka, the "jiggle" test.
*Rampant allegations of sexual abuse and harassment at appearances, events and more.
While some might say it comes with the territory, others, especially in the face of costly litigation, are saying it might just be time to turn the page on the era of the NFL cheerleader.
