The British survey found that men spend two-thirds of that time agonizing over the decision, a lot of times with friends, trying to decide how to break the bad news in a nice way.
The survey also shows that women manage to go from unhappy to untroubled with the fewest worries, making a snap decision based on emotional honesty.
Sixteen percent of men said they would even stay in an unhappy relationship for six months if there was a glimmer of hope for a brighter future.
