One woman's mission: to take over the DC Metro with cats. Specifically shelter cats that need furever homes. Nicole Adams from Gaithersburg, MD, wants to take the Citizens Advertising Takeover Service nationwide, and she wants to kick things off in the national capitol.

Nicole set her sights on a smaller Metro station to plaster cat posters all over: Dupont Circle. Or even Cleveland Park, she says, to honor the National Zoo's bobcat, Ollie.

So Nicole organized a Kickstarter campaign to realize her dream. She wants to partner with The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County to feature cats waiting to be adopted.

Pet parents, unite! $30,000 to take over a Metro station with cats is doable, awesome, and something that needs to happen. Here's where you can donate: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/subwaycats/the-citizens-advertising-takeover-service-washingt
