According to the official coroner's report, George Michael died from natural causes. Heart disease and a fatty liver caused his death in December.

At the time, police didn't rule George Michael's death as suspicious, but they did call it "unexplained." The case will be now closed following the coroner's report.

While some people may point to fatty liver being caused by drinking, the report didn't specify if George Michael suffered from alcoholic fatty liver disease. You can also have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, thought to be connected to diabetes, insulin resistance, or obesity.
