Hurricane Maria pummels Puerto Rico
Mother nature is wreaking havoc on Puerto Rico yet again.
Maria is now a Category 4 with estimated maximum sustained winds of 155 mph that made landfall on Puerto Rico at around 6am this morning. A weather reporter described the winds as sounding like "a woman screaming at the top of her lungs." Maria is the first Category 4 storm to make landfall in Puerto Rico in 85 years. The storm's hurricane-force wind field cover more than 7,500 square miles with Puerto Rico's size being only 5,300 square miles. Maria’s cloud shield stretches about 600 miles, which is the distance from Washington DC to Chicago.

Death Toll Climbs In Mexico Quake
Prayers for Mexico...
Mexican officials say more than 200 people are dead after yesterday’s destructive 7.1-magnitude earthquake. Officials say most of those who were killed were in the state of Morelos, which is just south of Mexico City. The tremors toppled buildings in the country's capital. Its been just barely two weeks since an 8.1 magnitude quake hit just off of Mexico's southern pacific coast killing dozens of people.

Merriam-Webster Updates Dictionary, Adds Troll, Dog Whistle
Merriam-Webster is updating its dictionary releasing more than 250 new words and definitions. The list includes several words that seem like they should be in the Urban Dictionary. One word is "troll." It once meant a giant who roamed in Scandinavian folklore, but now Webster says the new definition is to "antagonize (others) online by deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments or other disruptive content." Other entries include “sriracha,” "alt-right," "concealed carry" and "open carry."

McDonald’s Tries To Make Happy Meals Healthier

McDonald’s is making a change to its Happy Meals. Starting in November, Happy Meals will now come with juice from Honest Kids. A six-ounce Honest Kids Organic Appley Ever After juice box has 35 calories, eight grams of sugar and is 42% juice, compare that to a Minute Maid apple juice box that’s the same size and has 80 calories, 19 grams of sugar, and is 100% juice.

Words With Friends Just Got Updated For 2017
Words With Friends is celebrating its eighth birthday with a massive update. They just added more than 50,000 new words via its brand-new "social dictionary." Some of the new words included Qi and Queso, FOMO, and Hangry.
