Category 4 Hurricane Maria Tears Through Caribbean

Maria was a Category 5 when it made landfall. Dominica Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit brought the reality of devastation home in a series of Facebook posts.

"We do not know what is happening outside. We not dare look out. All we are hearing is ... the sound of the fury of the wind. As we pray for its end!" Skerrit wrote.

Maria is expected to approach the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico by tomorrow. Major damage is anticipated as it will strike as a Cat 4 or 5. The area is still recovering from Irma which barreled through two weeks ago.
