HRC Mourns Loss of Executive After Tragic Accident

To some people, she was a top club DJ. To some, she pioneered art and fashion styles. To all, Cassidy Karakorn was a leader in the fight for LGBTQ rights with the Human Rights Campaign.

Cassidy was with the Human Rights Campaign for 17 years and was paramount to their creative reach across the country, opening up the HRC's fight to countless people.

It's a life too short. Cassidy was driving her scooter when she was struck by a vehicle making a U-Turn near Washington, DC's H Street district.

She'll be remembered for her incredible and inventive impact to the LGBTQ community in DC and across the country through the HRC. She set the standard for artistic outreach and her impact will last a lifetime.
