According to TMZ, Demi Lovato was taken to the hospital just after Noon today suffering the apparent effects of a heroin overdose.
Law enforcement officials confirmed the situation to TMZ, who explain that Demi was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills. Her current condition is unknown.
Last month, Demi created buzz when she released her song "Sober", wherein she admitted to falling off the wagon. She's fought substance abuse for years, most notably for cocaine use.
She is scheduled to play the beach in Atlantic City this Thursday as part of a summer tour. There is no word yet on if the show has been cancelled.
