Listen to Daft Punk on iHeartRadio

Julian Casablancas shares the spotlight with an inanimate version of himself in the new video for the Strokes frontman's collaboration with Daft Punk.

The clip for "Instant Crush" was reportedly inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale "The Steadfast Tin Soldier," and tells the tragic love story between the Casablancas look-alike soldier and a statue of young farm girl.  It was directed by Warren Fu, while Tony Gardner -- a make-up artist on Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video -- sculpted the Casablancas' face.

"Instant Crush" is the latest release from Daft Punk's Random Access Memories.  The record picked up a number of Grammy nominations on Friday, including Album of the Year.
